GT-6300 Canal

A 13 foot (4 m) wide canal around the upper reservoir at a Japanese hydroelectric power plant is being paved in two paving passes with a four-track GT-6300 paver.

A unique application for this GT-6300 was slipforming a slit-trench channel in Japan. The slit-trench channels were 18 in. (457 mm) square for enclosing pipe.

The GOMACO GT-6300 trims and slipforms irrigation canals in various configurations all over the world.

A contractor in Greece simultaneously trims and slipforms this concrete drainage channel with their GT-6300 in the median of a new four-lane highway. A chain-type trimmer is used on this irrigation canal in Turkey. The GOMACO GT-6300 simultaneously trims and slipforms this canal in a single pass.

A GOMACO GT-6300 slipformed this channel with a seven foot (2.1 m) wide and 10 inch (254 mm) thick floor, and 40 inch (1016 mm) tall side walls. The channel, which was near Colstrip, Montana, had to be built strong enough to withstand the constant dynamite blasting and subsequent earth movement.
