Ida Grove, IA -- GOMACO is celebrating its First 50 Years in 2015. The company’s facilities are located in Ida Grove and GOMACO has always been proud to call Ida Grove… Home. GOMACO would like to celebrate their 50th year with the community of Ida Grove, and for the first time in company history, GOMACO will have an open house with public tours to view the Plant 2 manufacturing facilities.

Plant tours will be held on Friday, June 26, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and GOMACO invites everyone into the plant to witness our history, learn about our product line, and see first-hand our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. After the tour, guests will receive a $3 discount coupon to be used that evening at the Heritage Days Grill-Out held in Ida Grove’s City Park.

“This is our opportunity to show the community the new environment that our manufacturing facility has to offer its employees,” Grant Godbersen, GOMACO’s Vice President of Manufacturing, said. “We are proud of the constant cleanliness, the air quality, the safety guards and procedures, and of course, the investment we have made in the square footage under roof and precision manufacturing tools that we use on a daily basis.”

GOMACO utilizes some of the most sophisticated equipment available in the manufacturing process today, and highlights of the tour will include the 4000 watt Mazak laser with FMS system, along with a full range of Haas CNC Machining equipment. GOMACO also has an electrostatic 2K power and free paint line conveyor system with a five stage wash system, in-line shot blast system, and 1800 foot long conveyor system. The GOMACO paint system has been a showpiece and visited by manufacturers from across the United States because it is ecologically friendly and state-of-the-art.

“We have been very fortunate to have some of the most talented individuals in the industry work for GOMACO,” Gary Godbersen, GOMACO’s President and CEO, said. “We are now seeing third generation employees join our team and we continue to offer unique opportunities in all areas, from manufacturing through selling our product both domestically and internationally. We recognize the importance of maintaining a high quality of life in Ida Grove to attract a quality work force and we are very proud of the community’s efforts in building for a better tomorrow. We believe our responsibility as a corporate citizen is to contribute to the efforts to assure that not only the work place, but also the community is a great place to call home. Our family is proud to have built our lives and corporation in Ida Grove and we would like to say thank you to everyone for the first 50 years.”
