GHP-2800 Four-Track

The Quietest Paver In The World

The four-track GHP-2800 with IDBI is paving 24 feet (7.3 m) wide, 11.5 inches (292 mm) thick, on U.S. Route 24 in Ohio. The IDBI is inserting 24 bars every 15 feet (4.6 m) on-the-go for the transverse joints.

This concrete overlay was paved with a GHP-2800 on the existing asphalt roadway, four inches (102 mm) thick, near the town of Osage, Iowa.

This contractor just completed rebuilding a 6.2 mile (10 km) stretch of Interstate 94 in Michigan. They purchased a new GOMACO four-track GHP-2800 concrete paver with an IDBI for the project and achieved some excellent production results. The ride is also being measured by one of the most challenging indexes in the industry, the International Roughness Index (IRI).

The first 72 lane miles (116 km) of work on the I-75 project in Georgia was slipformed using stringline. The contractor then used the Leica stringless guidance system on their PS-2600 placer/spreader and four-track GHP-2800 while paving the last 27 lane miles (43.5 km).

This contractor in Iowa just completed 12.5 miles (20.1 km) of a 13 mile (20.9 km) project with a four-track GOMACO GHP-2800. Two paver-mounted GOMACO GSI® units monitored the smoothness in each driving lane.

This uniquely configured GOMACO GHP-2800 paver recently slipformed a section of highway in Brunswick, Georgia. The machine, which was set up with three-tracks, was slipforming in minimum-clearance conditions along a barrier between two lanes of traffic.

On the right side of the GHP-2800, there is a four-track end car for two tracks, and on the left side there is a two-track end car for one track.

This four-track GHP-2800 slipformed 52,625 yd2 (44,000 m2) of concrete apron at the Charles de Gaulle International Airport in France.

A new 24 feet (7.3 m) wide airport parking lot in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is being slipformed by a four-track GHP-2800 in 2000 foot (610 m) long paving passes. A four-track GHP-2800 is slipforming a new highway inside the Ayabe Road Tunnel in Kyoto, Japan.

This contractor is slipforming a new section of Highway 401 with their four-track GHP-2800 paver equipped with an In-The-Pan-Dowel Bar Inserter (IDBI) near Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The GHP-2800 slipform paver is designed for easy transport. The two-track paver has a minimum transport width of 12 ft. (3.66 m) and a transport length of 19 ft. 3 in. (5.9 m). The four-track has a minimum transport width of 8 ft. 2 in. (2.49 m) and a transport length of 36 ft. 6 in. (11.1 m). The GHP-2800 four-track machine provides high-production slipforming on this mainline highway project in Kansas City, Missouri. This highway was slipformed in passes 22 ft. (6.71 m) wide by 12 in. (305 mm) thick.
The GHP-2800 four-track machine slipforms this Kansas City, Missouri, highway in 22 ft. (6.71 m) wide by 12 in. (305 mm) thick passes. This machine is equipped with rolling stringline on the left side, and a keyway crimper with side bar inserter. The frame-mounted bar inserter accompanies 40 in. (1016 mm) diameter #6 bars.
The G21/G22 technology allows GOMACO’s trimmers, placer/spreaders, and slipform pavers to be controlled by automated 3-D machine-control systems, and not by stringline.
This GOMACO four-track GHP-2800 is equipped with the GOMACO IDBI, In-The-Pan Dowel Bar Inserter, paving 23.8 ft. (7.25 m) wide, inserting 23 bars across the slab, 11.8 in. (300 mm) apart.

A four-track GHP-2800 paver and a PS-2600 placer/spreader is at work on a project at the Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia.
This GHP-2800 is equipped with a trailing form and manual bar insertion designed to trail the track on two-track pavers. This system will accommodate most types of bars.

The photos below show the trailing form and manual bar inserter raised to position the machine to come off the header. And, when the slipforming begins, the trailing form is lowered and the manual bar insertion resumes.
