SL-450 Applications


The GOMACO RC Conveyor and the SL-450 are placing and finishing a concrete lining over a plastic membrane to seal this canal in China.	This SL-450 with trimmer attachment was used to trim approximately 2.5 to three inches (64 to 76 mm) of sandy soil in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.	A contractor finishes a portion of the São Francisco Canal with their SL-450 cylinder finisher in Floresta, Brazil.


This SL-450 is finishing the bank of a concrete water treatment pond in Overland Park, Kansas.

An SL-450 is at work on the Melbourne Water Canal Project in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.


The new race track at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, was poured in just 13 weeks with an SL-450. Read more about this project in GOMACO World Vol. 36.1.


This GOMACO SL-450 is finishing the concrete lining of a canal in Ankara, Turkey. The contractor also used an RC Conveyor to place the concrete down the slope of the canal.	Longitudinal and transverse joints are scored with attachments on the SL-450, and laborers on the Spanit^® work bridge finish the joints.	The SL-450 assured uniform concrete placement and slope thickness and finishes the slopes at a much faster rate than placing preformed concrete panels. The GOMACO SL-450 finishes a trapezoidal channel in Ghana, with a bottom width of 43 ft. (13 m), top width of 75 ft. (23 m), a depth of 16 ft. (5 m), and a 1:1 slope. Thickness is 12 in. (300 mm) and weepholes were installed for the storm water drain.

This SL-450 finishes a drainage canal at Washington Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C.
