Early Tuesday afternoon, the names of 18 contractors were drawn to fill out six three-person teams to compete in the Contractors' Shoot-Out. Following the Putting Championship, they were cut loose on the Ida Grove course for the five-hole competition. Everyone hits the first tee shot of the competition, and shots are alternated from that point forward, with the highest scoring team being eliminated on each hole.

This year's Contractors' Shoot-Out Champions were the threesome of Ed Menefee of Loch Sand & Construction Company, Dave Neill of Paulsen, Inc., and Doug Jones of The Gillotti Companies. The second place team consisted of Lee Guzzo of Complete General Construction, Bill Sweetser of J.D. Sweetser Construction Company, Inc., and Neil McFadden of Smith Paving. Coming in third was Sam Clark of Texas Sterling, Paul Corr of Fred Weber, Inc., and Dean Boatright of Ritchie Paving, Inc. Congratulations to everyone for a well-played and exciting competition.
