Friendship & Fun At #31!
We've received your registration for GOMACO Invitational #31, scheduled for September 18 and 19, and we're counting down the days until you come visit us in our hometown of Ida Grove, Iowa! If you find that you cannot attend this year, please contact Carrie Odgaard at 800-831-2320, extension 5253, as soon as possible. If you do need to cancel, don't forget to cancel your motel, too.
If you need assistance or have any questions while you are here, feel free to ask any GOMACO employee. We will have the GOMACO logo on our name badges, and on Wednesday we will be wearing white shirts. All food, drink, and golf will be taken care of while you are here. Green fees and cart rentals at the Invitational courses are compliments of GOMACO, and the meals and refreshments are generously taken care of by Invitational sponsors and GOMACO.
World Of Concrete 2013 Preview:
See The GHP-2800 With G+ Controls

Get up close to a GOMACO GHP-2800 slipform paver with G+ controls and a Tier 4 engine at GOMACO Invitational #31.
As a GOMACO Invitational #31 attendee, you will be among the first in the world to experience our GHP-2800 slipform paver with the G+ control system. Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, there will be a special display and demonstration of the G+ technology at the Gomaco Trolley Company (across the street from the Ida Grove hole #1 green).
We will show you why our proprietary G+ is the system of the future, and how it connects and controls a variety of accessories with accuracy and precision. We'll dry run a GHP-2800 with a Tier 4 engine, and demonstrate the unmatched accuracy of firing paving accessories with 3D positioning. You will also see how to fine-tune the paver with the G+ controls.
Our 3D and controls experts will be available to answer any questions, and provide a hands-on experience.
So when you arrive in Ida Grove on Tuesday morning, be sure to take in the demonstration and see what's new at GOMACO, or visit the equipment on display at the trolley company anytime during the Invitational.
New At #31: Peter "The Trick Shot Master" Jöhncke!
Peter "The Trick Shot Master" Jöhncke is the new entertainment for Invitational #31. His show will start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, following the Contractors' Shoot-0ut. The high-energy show will feature Peter's very unusual golf clubs, such as a three-headed three-wood, a driver with a link chain for a shaft, a four-headed four-wood, a nine-foot driver, and his prehistoric driver "Big Erma."
He has been featured on TV networks, including CBS, ABC, and Fox, and on XM satellite radio, and The Golf Channel. He has also appeared in many publications, including Golf Digest, Bogie, USA Today, Svensk Golf, Fore Florida, Golf Punk, Providence Journal, Boston Globe and Golf Digest Sweden.
Peter has been referred to as "Golf's one-man version of the Harlem Globetrotters."
We Could Award More Than One $20,000 Hole-In-One Cash Prize!
Invitational #31's individual hole-in-one prize is a cash reward of $20,000! If you sink a hole-in-one on the designated hole during the first round of play in Wednesday's 18-hole Scramble Tournament, you'll go home with the cash! This year, if there are multiple hole-in-ones on this special hole, there will be multiple $20,000 cash prizes given out. This hole will be 160 yards for men, and 140 yards for women.

You must be present at the drawing and have checked "Yes" for the event when you registered online to be eligible. There will be six teams, each consisting of one A, B and C player. Your Master of Ceremonies throughout the Invitational will be Rich Smith, GOMACO Vice President of Administration and Finance.
If you are participating in the Putting Tournament, the computer-selected pairings and your putting green will be available right after the Contractors' Shoot-Out drawing. The 2-person Putting Tournament will start at 1:15 p.m. on greens #5, #6, #7 and the practice green. After the preliminary tournament, join us at 3:30 p.m. around the #9 green by the clubhouse for the 9-hole Putting Tournament Championship and root on the competitors. Peter Jöhncke's trick-shot show and the Pride Of Iowa Steak Fry will start at 6:30 p.m. The steak fry will have Iowa's best, aged rib-eye steaks or chicken breasts, grilled sweet onions, Texas toast, dessert and more. The evening will conclude with an awards ceremony in the clubhouse for the day's winners, and five names will be drawn for Wednesday morning's $5,000 Putt.
Wednesday's Activities - Check-in for the 4-person Scramble Tournament will be from 7 to 8 a.m. in Ida Grove. The entry fee is $65.00 USD (cash or check only, payable at that time), with 100 percent payback in cash and prizes. A pancake breakfast will be in the clubhouse starting at 7 a.m. Before the tournament, be sure to watch the $5,000 Putt and the Opening Ceremony on the practice green. The computer-selected, alphabetical listings of your team, your course and your starting hole will be posted after these events. Each foursome will consist of one A, B, C and D player.
Buses will transport golfers playing in Holstein, Mapleton and Odebolt to and from their courses. Lunch featuring the famous Holstein skinless brats and hamburgers will be served hot-off-the-grill and on-the-go by GOMACO employees on each course. Brats will be available in their original flavor, and also in bacon and cheddar, and jalapeño and cheddar. Lunch will include chips, candy and nuts.
The three-hole "Grand" Champion Shoot-Out for the top team from each of the four course tournaments will begin at 6 p.m. in Ida Grove. Grab a cart and follow the action on holes #5, #6 and #9 to see which foursome wins the "Grand" Champion title for Invitational #31.
