Massive Highway 20 Project In Western Iowa & North Of Ida Grove

Please be aware that we have a massive highway construction project converting U.S. 20 from two to four lanes north of Ida Grove, and also a wind farm construction project in Ida County. Plan to allow a little extra traveling time when you are north of Ida Grove, or when driving from your motels to the fun and excitement of the Invitational activities!

Visit www.511ia.org to keep informed of any road closings along your route to Ida Grove. U.S. 20 is currently closed in both directions from seven miles east of Moville to Correctionville. There is a short detour to the south of U.S. 20 that may slightly increase your travel time on that route. There is currently work underway on U.S. 20 between Holstein and Galva north of Ida Grove, but the roadway has remained open.

One hundred and thirty-four wind turbines are being installed on farms in Ida County, so be prepared for potential traffic by equipment and crews.

Trick-Shot Artist Brad Denton Is Back By Popular Demand For #35

Trick-shot artist Brad Denton is returning to entertain you at Invitational #35. His show will start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Ida Grove #1 tee box.

Brad has more than 20 years of experience as a professional player, teacher and entertainer, and was named Golfweek’s 2013 Entertainer Of The Year.

Brad has managed and instructed for a top five nationally ranked golf school, and has taught independently in Nuremberg, Germany. He has also competed professionally throughout the United States, Canada, and Germany.

Brad has performed on Real TV, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, and You Gotta See This on the Fox Sports Network, and has also been on The Golf Channel. He has performed for the Guinness Book of World Records to establish a new world record for the Longest Golf Club In The World.

His incredible trick shots demonstrate the fundamentals of the golf swing, and he uses his fun-loving and clean sense of humor, impersonations, and quick wit to keep the audience in stitches. He uses a variety of “not-so-ordinary” clubs, such as a six foot driver and a 10 foot driver.

Brad Denton’s Close Game Clinics Are On Tuesday & Wednesday

Brad will also be conducting two close game clinics on the Ida Grove practice green. Polish up your putting and chipping techniques at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, and also at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Brad loves audience participation, so you might be asked to join the show!
