Ida Grove, Iowa -- GOMACO University reached a milestone this school season. The school registered its 10,000th individual student. The number does not include any GOMACO personnel, any names that have been added from schools held outside of their training facilities in Ida Grove, Iowa, or multiple attendance by students.
The 10,000th student was Rob Requeny, a mechanic from Hardrives Paving, Inc., in Delray Beach, Florida. Rob took home a box full of GOMACO gifts and a GOMACO jacket embroidered with his name and “10,000th G.U. Student.” Hardrives Paving received a ten-year scholarship for GOMACO University.
The following is a letter that was presented with the award:
This is a very special day in the history of GOMACO Corporation and GOMACO University. It is has been with great anticipation that the year 2006 would bring the 10,000th student to register and attend our training facility in Ida Grove.
GOMACO Corporation has always had a passion for education and the training of operators and service technicians in the skills and knowledge needed to profitably and safely operate and maintain their GOMACO equipment.
Rob Requeny and Hardrives Paving, Inc., of Delray Beach, Florida, will always hold a special place in the history of our school. We would like to present this scholarship to Hardrives Construction in the hopes that you will continue to be a part of our future.
This scholarship entitles Hardrives Construction to ten (10) tuition free classes at GOMACO University. You can use this scholarship over the next ten years, or to send more than one student in a year, or to take more than one class in a given year to best benefit your company.
