At GOMACO we believe in quality, performance, and people and we are currently looking to add a valuable member to our team in the role of Accounting Manager.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accounting activities of GOMACO and related companies to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal policies. This person will be responsible for a variety of financial functions including the monthly close process, preparation and review of financial statements as well as completing payroll and sales tax returns.
The ideal candidate will possess leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background, and work proactively to drive results. This person must be a self-starter, flexible, have a high level of integrity and be action and goal-oriented in a team environment.


Job/Education Requirements: SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review daily accounting functions including payables, invoicing, cash receipts and disbursements.
- Post, maintain and review general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly individual and consolidated financial statements.
- Complete and file payroll tax returns and sales tax returns.
- Maintain and prepare supporting management reports.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules.
- Prepare work papers and facilitate work with auditors.
- Other miscellaneous duties as required by company management.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Accounting.
- Advanced knowledge and practical skills in generally accepted accounting principles and internal control.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Management and communication skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organization and instruct others on accounting procedures.
- Strong computer proficiency, including advanced capabilities with Excel.
- Ability to comprehend, retain and complete assigned duties and follow instructions.
