| Job Description: |
The Receiving Operator is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming materials and supplies. This role ensures all materials are received, inspected for quality and quantity, properly stored, and documented in the inventory system to support the manufacturing and paving operations.

| Job/Education Requirements: |
Key Responsibilities:
• Material Inspection: Visually inspect all incoming materials, parts, and equipment for damage or defects before accepting delivery. Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips. • Inventory Management: Accurately record quantities and descriptions of all received materials into the inventory management system. Maintain organized records of deliveries and stock levels. • Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas. • Storage and Organization: Place received materials in their correct locations within the warehouse, yard, or production areas. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and storage environment.
• Qualifications:
Monitor the quality and consistency of incoming materials, reporting any discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor immediately. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and lockout/tagout procedures. • Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork for incoming shipments, including receiving reports and discrepancy forms. • Support Production: Work closely with production and scheduling to ensure materials are available when needed. Assist with staging materials for manufacturing or job sites as required.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or material handling role is preferred • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in counting, documenting, and inspecting materials. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with warehouse and production staff.
Physical Requirements:
• Standing and walking for most of the shift. • Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching. • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment: • Work in a warehouse environment which may include exposure to varying temperatures and dust. • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions when required. • PPE such as safety glasses and steel-toe boots required.
