Job Summary: The Testing Technician is responsible for performing quality assurance tests, inspections, and troubleshooting for newly manufactured concrete paving machinery. This role ensures all equipment meets design specifications, performance standards, and company quality benchmarks before shipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and functional performance tests on new paving equipment. • Operate paving equipment to test performance under various operational conditions. • Perform comprehensive system checks, including hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems, to diagnose and resolve issues. • Use testing instruments and diagnostic software to evaluate machine performance against established metrics. • Collaborate with engineering, assembly, and quality control teams to address mechanical, electrical, or software defects. • Document test procedures, results, and findings in detailed reports and logs. • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. • Provide technical support and training to internal staff and field service technicians on machine operation and diagnostics. • Adhere to all company and industry safety standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
• Proven mechanical or electrical experience, preferably in heavy equipment or manufacturing preferred. • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical components. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. • Experience operating and maintaining paving equipment is a plus. • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication. • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
• Capacity to stand for extended periods, as well as bend, crouch, and work in awkward positions. • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
• Plant manufacturing setting. • PPE such as safety glasses and steel-toe boots required.
