9500 Placer Applications

Two GOMACO 9500s placed concrete on grade in front of a PS-2600 which was placing and spreading the concrete in front of the GHP-2800 paver at the O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois. In a single day, they slipformed 7728 cubic yards (5908 m3) of concrete with their GOMACO equipment during a 12.5-hour shift.

Maneuverability is another bonus with the 9500, as it can turn a 360 degree turn in the its own length. The 34 ft. (10.57 m) long rear conveyor provides maximum reach while placing concrete. A 9500 with a pickup head is reclaiming windrows of reclaimed asphalt and loading it into trucks on I-65 at the state line between Illinois and Indiana. This 9500 is placing concrete on the grade over dowel baskets on a highway project in Boise, Idaho.
The 9500 operator station is designed with a pedestal control and remote control handset to provide operator efficiency, safety and visibility of the entire operation.

The versatility of the 9500 comes directly from the front-mounted design. This allows changing the same machine from a grade trimmer to a shoulder trimmer or to a concrete placer.

Placement of concrete is fast and accurate with the longest placing conveyor in the industry, at 34 ft. 8 in. (10.57 m). The belt width is 36 in. (914 mm). The rear conveyor has a 160 degree swing and a hydraulic height adjustment up to 16 ft. 2.86 in. (4.95 m), allowing a maximum reach while placing concrete. A hydraulically controlled rear conveyor belt is used for loading trimmed material or placing concrete.

The 9500 placer above is feeding concrete into the concrete pump's hopper and the concrete is pumped up to the bridge deck for fast finishing with the GOMACO bridge deck finisher.
