Five Invitational attendees had the opportunity to compete to sink a 50 foot, $5,000 putt on Wednesday morning. At the Tuesday evening awards ceremony, five names are drawn to compete in a putt-off. The winner of that competition had the chance to sink the $5,000 putt sponsored by Buddy Shelton! This year the participants were Dwight Savage of Eaton, Jeff Bryan of CON-E-CO, Larry Smith of Road Machinery & Supplies Co., Ron Efferding of Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. and Wendell Shirley of Shirley Concrete Co. After the putt-off, Ron Efferding earned the honor of attempting to sink the 50 foot putt. Despite an excellent effort, his putt missed the hole by approximately one foot.
