Thank you to everyone who traveled to our small town in Ida Grove, Iowa, on September 16 and 17, 2014, for our annual customer appreciation event, the 33rd GOMACO Invitational. We hope you had a chance to make new friends in the industry, spend some casual time with your colleagues, and enjoy the golfing competitions. Amazing Scramble Score & A Hole-In-One!
GOMACO Invitational #33 saw amazing scores in the Scramble Tournament, and a hole-in-one on hole #5 in Ida Grove!
Hole-In-One! - Herb Besaw of BOBALEE Inc. sank a hole-in-one in the GOMACO Invitational’s Scramble Tournament, on hole #5 in Ida Grove. It was not the special hole-in-one prize hole, but every hole in the Scramble Tournament has a special team challenge. This hole’s challenge was “closest-to-the-pin” in one shot, which Herb easily earned for his team! Congratulations Herb (second from left in below photo)! Members of his team were Todd Jurjevic of Minnich Manufacturing, Steve Michael of Turner-Michael Construction Co., and Kyle Stewart of Parker Hannifin Corporation.
Amazing Score! - The "Grand" Champion team, which was also the top Mapleton Scramble Tournament team, recorded what may be the lowest score from any GOMACO Invitational. They finished their 18 holes with a 56, which was 14 under par! Members of the team were Jim Hayward of GOMACO, Richard Michael of Turner-Michael Construction Co., Andru Small of Terry Equipment, and Larry Berg of Wicks Construction.
Double Winners! - Tom Giefer of Kansas Heavy Constr., LLC, was a lucky winner at this year's Invitational. He was a member of the winning team in the Contractors' Shoot-Out, and also on the championship team from Odebolt during the Scramble Tournament!
Richard Michael of Turner-Michael Construction Co. was a member of the "Grand" Champion team from the Mapleton Scramble Tournament, and also was on the second place team in the Contractors' Shoot-Out.
Larry Berg of Wicks Construction also had a great GOMACO Invitational #33! He was on the Scramble Tournament "Grand" Champion team, and also on the third place team in the Contractors' Shoot-Out.
