On Invitational Tuesday, September 18, we had a drawing to fill six, three-person teams for the Contractors' Shoot-Out, an event exclusively for GOMACO customers. Each team consisted of one A, B and C player. After the Putting Tournament, the 18 participants met on the Ida Grove #1 tee for the five-hole competition. Each golfer hit the first tee shot and it was alternating shot from that point on. The highest scoring team on each hole was eliminated, until one threesome was our Invitational #37 champion.

This year's shoot-out schedule was a little unique due to thunderstorms that rolled through the area on Tuesday. The Putting Tournament Championship was held at the same time as the Contractors' Shoot-Out, and everyone finished just in time to enjoy the Pride Of Iowa Steak Fry.

This year's Contractors' Shoot-Out championship team was Randy Miller of Iowa Contracting, Cody Preston of Geneva Rock Products, Inc., and Dustin Keith of Hi-Way Paving, Inc. Coming in second were Chris Wilsey of TAB Construction Co., Luke Stovall of Weaver-Bailey Contracting, and Peter Sundell of Nevada Concrete Services. The third place team was Tim Sigler of JBI, Inc., Blake Davis of Hogan & Associates, and Kris Sundell of Nevada Concrete Services.
