Don't miss it! It's one of the highlights of the GOMACO Invitational!

$5,000 Putt

One lucky GOMACO Invitational guest will have the opportunity to attempt to sink a 50-foot putt worth $5,000 around 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Five names are drawn from all registered attendees at the awards ceremony on Tuesday night. These five individuals need to be at the Ida Grove practice green on Wednesday morning ready to go with their putters! This awesome prize was last given out in 2006, and maybe someone will get lucky again this year!

Rich Smith, GOMACO Vice President of Administration and Finance, will host the event and lead the participants through a short putt-off. The winning individual will have one chance to sink a 50-foot putt for all of the money!

Last year's competitors (seen in bottom photo) were Thad Cosgrove of Cosgrove Law Firm, Jim Kaas of Iowa Fluid Power, Tom Wade of The McLean Co., Dan Thompson of Border States Paving, Inc., and Jim Savage of WMC Contracting Co.

After a short putt-off, Jim Kaas (seen in top photo) earned the honor of attempting the long putt. Despite an excellent putt, the prize went unclaimed at #29.

The rest of Wednesday is for the fun of the 18-hole Scramble Tournament and the "Grand" Champion Shoot-Out.
