Schedule Of Events

Every September, we schedule two full days of activities and entertainment just for you in our hometown of Ida Grove, Iowa. The main events are on Tuesday, September 18, and Wednesday, September 19. If you arrive in Ida Grove on Monday, September 17, you can enjoy open golf all day, and a welcome reception in the afternoon and evening.

 

 

Monday, September 17

Join Us For Pre-Invitational Fun On Monday, September 17. Arrive On Monday For Open Golf, Food & Friendship!

Noon
Lunch at Ida Grove Country Club.
Open golf is available all day.

Late Afternoon/Evening
Welcome reception and dinner buffet at Ida Grove Country Club.
Mr. G's (upstairs at GOMACO University) will be open beginning at 8:30 p.m.

 

 

Tuesday, September 18

The Main Events On Tuesday, September 18, Are The Putting Tournament & The Contractors' Shoot-Out (Exclusively For Customers)! Don't Miss Peter "The Trick Shot Master" Jöhncke's Golf Show At 6:30 p.m.! All Tuesday Activities Are In Ida Grove.

7:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Mandatory check-in for Putting Tournament at Ida Grove Country Club.
Open golf is available all day.
Driving range on Ida Grove #1 tee box.

11:30 a.m.
Putting Tournament check-in concludes.
Putting greens close.
Lunch is served in the clubhouse.

1 p.m.
Contractors' Shoot-Out drawing on the clubhouse patio. (Contractors must be present if entered.)

1:15 p.m.
2-Person Putting Tournament.

3:30 p.m.
Putting Tournament Championship.

4:30 p.m.
3-Person Contractors' Shoot-Out.

6:30 p.m.

Pride of Iowa Steak Fry.

8:30 p.m.
Putting Tournament & Contractors' Shoot-Out awards in the clubhouse.

8:30 - 11 p.m.

Wednesday, September 19

Wednesday, September 19, Is The 18-Hole Scramble Tournament Day! Everyone Starts Wednesday At The Ida Grove Country Club. We Provide Chartered Buses To Transport Our Guests Who Are Golfing Out Of Town In Holstein, Mapleton and Odebolt. Everyone Returns To Ida Grove At The End Of The Day For The "Grand" Champion Shoot-Out, Tournament Banquet And Awards Ceremony.

7 a.m.
Breakfast at Ida Grove Country Club.

7 - 8 a.m.
Mandatory check-in for 4-Person Scramble Tournament. ($65 entry fee, due at that time. 100% payback in cash and prizes.)

8:15 a.m.
Opening Ceremony on Ida Grove practice green.
50-foot, $5,000 Putt.
Scramble Tournament team and rules announcements.
Buses leave for courses.
Tournament shot-gun start.

Lunch
Grilled lunch served hot and on-the-go by GOMACO employees on all courses.

6 p.m.
"Grand" Champion Shoot-Out at the Ida Grove Country Club.

7:30 p.m.
Tournament banquet at the Skate Palace in Ida Grove.

8 p.m.
Awards ceremony at the Skate Palace.
