As You're Planning Your Trip...
We've put together these tips to assist you as you make plans to travel to our small town, packing for Iowa weather in September, and for participating in our golf events.
Make Your Travel & Housing Plans Right Now!
Click the red button at the top of the page and register today! We ask that you register as soon as possible to help us with our planning. The deadline is Monday, August 13.
After you have registered, be sure to reserve your motel room as soon as possible! Ida Grove motels are blocked by GOMACO and are not available. Motel rooms are limited in our area, so please put the maximum number of individuals in each room.
When you're ready to register, be sure you have your registration card that you should have received in the mail. After you click the red registration button at the top of this page, you will be taken to a new web page. There, you will type in your Registration ID and Authorization Code from the front of the card. Then you will be taken to an area where you either enter or confirm your information, such as your address and phone number. Select the activities you plan to participate in, and enter your average score for nine holes of golf. Sorry, this invitation is for you and is non-transferable. If you have any problems or questions while registering, don't hesitate to contact us at 800-831-2320.
If you need to cancel after you have registered for the Invitational, please contact us at 800-831-2320. Don't forget to cancel your motel room, too.
Commercial Airports In Omaha, Nebraska (OMA); Sioux City, Iowa (SUX); and Des Moines, Iowa (DSM)

We're Preparing For Great Weather, But Pack A Jacket Just In Case!
We've placed our order for warm, beautiful weather for #31, but just in case the weatherman can't deliver, be sure to pack for all possibilities! Toss a jacket and long pants in your suitcase, along with your golf shirts, shorts and sandals. Even if the daytime high temperature is in the 70s, which is fairly normal for September in Iowa, it isn't unusual for the mornings to start in the 40s. The Invitational's attire is "Golf Casual."
Visit the GOMACO web site, www.gomaco.com, and click the weather banner on the lower, right side of the page, and check on the weather of western Iowa as we get closer to the event.
All Food, Refreshments And Green Fees Are Compliments Of GOMACO & Invitational Sponsors!
All of your green fees and cart rentals during your stay are compliments of GOMACO, and all meals and refreshments served during the Invitational are provided by event sponsors and GOMACO. If you see any of the sponsors, feel free to thank them for their continued support for this great event!
Invitational Teams Will Have All Skill Levels
The GOMACO Invitational is geared so no matter what your skill level, you have an excellent chance to come out a winner, and no matter what, you'll absolutely have a great time!
Each team in the Contractors' Shoot-Out has an A, B, and C player, the Scramble Tournament has teams with an A, B, C and D player, and the Putting Tournament has teams of two. A computer selects the teams for the Scramble Tournament and Putting Tournament, and there is a drawing on the clubhouse patio for the teams in the Contractors' Shoot-Out.
Check In Both Tuesday & Wednesday Mornings At The Ida Grove Country Club
One of the most important things you can do (aside from registering right now!), is to check in at the Ida Grove Country Club when you arrive on Tuesday morning, September 18. At that time you will confirm your participation in the 2-Person Putting Tournament. Check in for the Putting Tournament will close at 11:30 a.m.
We would like you to check in once more by 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, if you are participating in the 4-Person, 18-hole Scramble Tournament. At that time you will pay your $65 entry fee (100 percent payback in cash and prizes), and you will receive your Scramble Tournament "goodies."
After everyone has checked in for each of these events, the computer will pick the teams, and where you will be golfing. This information will be provided near the Ida Grove clubhouse before the start of both events.
Invitational Caps & 'Goodies' For #31 Attendees
When you check in for the first time (which is Tuesday for those of you who are participating in the Putting Tournament or Contractors' Shoot-Out, or Wednesday if your only event is the Scramble Tournament), you'll receive your official GOMACO Invitational #31 cap, and tournament informational booklet.
When you check in on Wednesday morning for the Scramble Tournament, we'll have a packet of tournament "goodies" ready for you to enjoy.
Ask Any GOMACO Employee If You Need Assistance Or Have A Question
If at any time you have any questions, or need assistance, please don't hesitate to find your nearest GOMACO employee. We will be the ones with the GOMACO logo on our name badges, and will be ready to help out!
Chartered Buses Are Provided For Wednesday's 4-Person Scramble Tournament
Chartered buses will transport guests who are golfing out of town in Holstein, Mapleton or Odebolt in Wednesday's Scramble Tournament. They will line up in front of the Ida Grove clubhouse when it is time go to your course. You will find out which course you will be on after the Scramble Tournament check-in has closed that morning, and announcements will be made when it is time to load your bus. Please take everything that you will need with you, as you will not be returning to Ida Grove until late in the afternoon for the "Grand" Champion Shoot-Out!
Our annual gathering of GOMACO customers, suppliers, distributors, association members, media representatives and friends getting together for two great days of fun and golf. Events are geared for all skill levels, so everyone is encouraged to take part! This year's event is September 18 and 19. Join us for one day, or both days.
