Everyone Is Invited To Putt In The 2-Person Putting Tournament

The preliminary round of the Putting Tournament is held on four greens on the Ida Grove course. Each green is its own tournament.   The top team from each green advances to the Putting Championship on green #9 by the Ida Grove clubhouse.

The first event at GOMACO Invitational #34 is the 2-Person Putting Tournament. The computer will pair you with another golfer, and the two of you will compete for a piece of the $18,000 prize purse.

To participate, you first need to register for this year's GOMACO Invitational, and click the Putting Tournament check-box when you select the events you plan to participate in.

On Tuesday, September 15, we will need you to check-in with us by 11:30 a.m. at the Ida Grove clubhouse. We will have a tent set up outside the clubhouse for you to stop and confirm your participation in the Putting Tournament with our staff.

After check-in closes, the computer will assign you a putting partner, and place you on one of four putting greens on the Ida Grove course for the preliminary tournament. Your partner and green number will be posted at 1:15 p.m. near the clubhouse patio.

Every green is an individual putting tournament. It is match play, with participants alternating shots. The second through fourth place teams on each green will receive cash prizes, and the first place team will advance to the nine-hole Putting Championship on the #9 green by the Ida Grove clubhouse.

The Putting Championship is stroke play, and will start at 3:30 p.m. The first place team wins a $3,000 cash team prize, and has their names engraved on the championship trophy. The second place team receives a $2,500 cash team prize, the third place team is awarded a $2,000 cash team prize, and fourth place earns a $1,700 cash team prize.

Exclusively For GOMACO Customers - 3-Person Contractors' Shoot-Out

Each team in the Contractors' Shoot-Out has one A, B, and C player. If you are a contractor, select this event when you register for a chance to participate.   The Contractors' Shoot-Out is held on five holes in Ida Grove, with the highest scoring team on each hole eliminated until we have a champion.

The 3-Person Contractors' Shoot-Out is a special event just for GOMACO customers. It will start at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, immediately after the conclusion of the Putting Tournament Championship.

The competition is a five-hole shoot-out, with the highest scoring team on each hole eliminated. The play continues until we have a champion on the final hole.

Each Contractors' Shoot-Out team has one A, B, and C golfer, so this event needs contractors of all skill levels. If you are a contractor and would like the chance to participate, be sure to click the Contractors' Shoot-Out check-box when you register for Invitational #34.

At 1 p.m. Tuesday on the Ida Grove patio, we will have a drawing to fill six, three-person teams, for a total of 18 contractors. You need to be present at the drawing to be eligible, and have checked the Contractors' Shoot-Out check-box when you registered.

If you are drawn for a team, you will need to be at the Ida Grove #1 tee box around 4:30 p.m. with your clubs and a cart immediately following the Putting Tournament Championship.

Every player hits the first shot, and shots are alternated between the three team members from that point forward.

If you aren't golfing in the shoot-out, be sure to grab a cart and follow the action around the course. The holes for the Contractors' Shoot-Out are #1 through #5.

The first place team wins a $2,100 team cash prize, and has their names engraved on the championship trophy. Second place receives a $1,500 cash team prize, and the third place team earns a $900 cash team prize.

Brad Denton hits balls teed high and low during his show at the GOMACO Invitational.   Brad loves audience participation, so be prepared to potentially join the show!

The grand finale of Brad's show involves him hitting with a 10 foot driver while standing on stilts!

Brad Denton's trick-shot show will start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Ida Grove #1 tee box. Brad has more than 20 years of experience as a professional player, teacher and entertainer, and was named Golfweek's 2013 Entertainer Of The Year.

His incredible trick shots demonstrate the fundamentals of the golf swing "with a twist," and he uses his fun-loving and clean sense of humor, and quick wit to keep the audience in stitches. He uses a variety of "not-so-ordinary" clubs, such as a six foot driver and a 10 foot driver he hits with while standing on stilts. He also loves to bring members of the audience into his show for demonstrations, so be prepared!

Brad has managed and instructed for a top 5 nationally ranked golf school, and has taught independently in Nuremberg, Germany. He has also competed professionally throughout the United States, Canada, and Germany.

Brad has performed on Real TV, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, and You Gotta See This on the Fox Sports Network, and has also been on The Golf Channel. He has performed for the Guinness Book of World Records to establish a new world record for the Longest Golf Club In The World.
