Commander III Curb & Gutter Applications

A three-track Commander III is slipforming curb and gutter on a parking lot project in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. Travel speed on the Commander has nearly doubled. The track circuits on the three-track machine now provide up to 44 fpm (13 mpm) operating speed for the high-production paving and 97 fpm (30 mpm) travel speed, allowing quick and easy job-site mobility.

GOMACO's patented trim/pour design assured maximum concrete yield. The Commander III is equipped with a 42 in. (1067 mm) wide sectionalized trimmerhead. Extensions are available on the trimmerhead for trimming up to 120 in. (3048 mm) wide. This contractor slipforms stand up curb with their Commander III in Perm, Russia.

The operator's platform on the Commander III provides easy access and ultimate operator visibility. The platform features a special skid-resistant surface on the walkway for safety. The Commander III slipforms curb and gutter through radius work with minimum-clearance requirements easily. Self-tensioning tracks are fully automatic and hydraulically lock in on machine start-up to maintain steady track tension on the track chain.

The Commander III features the sideshifting and vertical-lifting trimmerhead, mold drawbar and hold-down assembly. The mounts on the Commander III provide up to 36 in. (914 mm) hydraulic sideshift, 18 in. (457 mm) of hydraulic vertical adjustment and 6 in. (152 mm) of manual vertical adjustment.

The Commander III allows the interchangeability of mold profiles in a matter of minutes, providing high production. Pre-existing attachments are interchangeable on the Commander III.
