Holstein Scramble Tournament

The 18-hole Scramble Tournament on Wednesday is the big event at the GOMACO Invitational. The computer selects the four-person teams and assigns each team to one of four courses. Each team consists of one A, B, C and D player. Everyone hits every shot, so it gives everyone a great opportunity to shine and have a great time. After the Opening Ceremony and $5,000 Putt, the teams head out to their assigned course, either Ida Grove, Holstein, Mapleton or Odebolt. Each course is a separate tournament, with its own flight winners and an overall champion. The winning team from each course progresses to the "Grand" Champion Shoot-Out later in the day in Ida Grove.

Taking first place in the Holstein Scramble Tournament was the foursome of Blake Driskell of Gerdan Slipforming, Inc., Hooper Jones of Construction Pan-Americana magazine, Pete Grathwohl of ESS, and Ray Netherton of GOMACO Corporation. They finished their tournament with a final score of 60, which was 10 under par. They went on to win the "Grand" Champion Shoot-Out between themselves and the first place teams from Ida Grove, Mapleton and Odebolt. Congratulations!
