Putting Tournament
The first event of GOMACO Invitational #29 was the Putting Tournament. At 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, 212 putters fanned out on four different greens on the Ida Grove course. The computer paired everyone off into teams of two, and this information was available outside the Ida Grove clubhouse just prior to the start of the tournament. Each green was its own competition, and the top pairing from each green advanced to the Putting Tournament Championship on the #9 green.
