Belgium

A contractor in Belgium slipformed a retaining wall for flood defense 19.7 inches (500 mm) wide and 23.6 inches (600 mm) tall using their GT-3600 curb and gutter machine.

Orange, California

A GOMACO 3300 with a special mold paves a 0.75 inch (19 mm) thick polymer overlay on a bridge.

 

 

 

3300 with undermounted mold paving highway ramp

Middletown, Delaware

A 3300 with an undermounted mold and 3D machine guidance slipforms a highway ramp eight feet (2.44 m) wide, 12 inches (305 mm) thick. The 3300’s tracks are turned 90 degrees in the transverse position to accommodate the undermounted mold.

Toulnoustouc, Quebec, Canada

A Commander III with a rear-mounted auger finishes an inverted stairway test pour in Toulnoustouc, Quebec, Canada. The concrete sections will form the sides of a dam.

Two conveyor belts mounted to this Commander III were needed to supply enough concrete to the mold for the unique profile around the lake’s edge at the Mahogany Central Beach site in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The profile is an 8.2 foot (2.5 m) wide sidewalk with a 31.5 inch (800 mm) face.

A contractor slipformed a flush flume floor with their three-track Commander III for a cattle confinement in Akron, Iowa. The flume featured a nine inch (229 mm) diameter slot drain set inside a six foot (1.8 m) wide floor profile.

France/Spain

The “Le Perth's” tunnel is the link between Proserpina in France and Figueroa in Spain in the French/Spanish border town of Perth. Two 28.5 foot (8.7 m) diameter tunnels, each 5.2 miles (8.4 km) long, are part of the overall link connecting the two countries. The project was paved with a Commander III.

New Orleans, Louisiana

This Louisiana contractor used a GOMACO Commander II, equipped with a unique 7 foot 9 inch (2.36 m) wide stair-step mold, for this specialized slipforming application at the Lafayette Mall in New Orleans. The Commander II slipformed each side of the new street in a single pass.

Reno, Nevada

A GP-2400 paves a 0.75 inch (19 mm) thick polymer overlay on a new bridge deck in Nevada.

Turkey

This contractor is at work slipforming 39.1 miles (63 km) of canal with a four-track GP-2600 canal paver. The work is the last section of a 137.3 mile (221 km) long irrigation canal for carrying water from the Atatürk Reservoir into eastern Turkey to irrigate agricultural land.

Marine Base, California

This four-track GP-4000 is simultaneously trimming and canal paving on a Marine Base in California.

Czech Republic

This four-track GOMACO GP-4000 is equipped with the IDBI system and 3D machine guidance. This is a two-layer mainline paving project in the Czech Republic. Paving widths range from 35 feet (10.7 m) to 40 feet (12.2 m). The total thickness of the two-layer slab is 12 inches (305 mm).

 

 

 

GT-3600 grooved cattle barn floor

Russia

A Russian contractor is using their GT-3600 to slipform grooved flooring in cattle barns in Voronezh. The flooring is slipformed in passes 5.7 feet (1.74 m) wide and 7.9 inches (200 mm) thick. Thirteen lockouts were attached to the back of the mold to form the grooves.

Council Bluffs, Iowa

A GT-3600 with a custom-built mold slipforms a 24 inch (610 mm) median strip at a 30 degree angle with red dyed concrete.

A GT-3600 slipforms a drainage channel that catches the water runoff from a bridge. The GT-3600 is slipforming up against a wall. The stringline holders have been mounted to the wall, so the GT-3600 will follow the wall profile.

This GT-3600 slipforms a six foot (1.8 m) wide, 10 inch (254 mm) thick swale curb in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

A GT-3600 slipforms a unique profile for electric cables and pipes along what will be a new railway connecting Bologna to Verona, Italy.

Marion, Michigan

This slipform project is stair-step risers for a new football stadium in Marion, Michigan. A total of ten rows were slipformed with the GT-3600, in five passes around the stadium, in a series of 200 foot (61 m) runs.

Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan

Another unique paving application slipformed with the GT-3600 is this foundation for an ice skating rink.

Salem, Oregon

This unique project involved the terracing for an amphitheater in Salem, Oregon. Retaining walls were slipformed with the GT-3600 at 34 inches (864 mm) high, with a six inch (152 mm) wide gutter/mow strip, which was leveled with the backfilled grade.
