Thank You For Joining Us For GOMACO Invitational #39!

GOMACO Invitational #39 brought together the concrete construction industry on September 14 and 15, 2021. We had a total of 228 participate in the two-person Putting Tournament on Tuesday, and 288 in the big four-person, 18-hole Scramble Tournament on Wednesday on golf courses in Ida Grove, Holstein, Mapleton, and Odebolt. Thank you to everyone for traveling to our small hometown of Ida Grove, Iowa, and joining us for two days of fun golfing events.

The GOMACO Invitational is our way of saying "thank you" for choosing our paving products, and to thank our business partners for their support through the years. Thank you again for coming, and we hope to see you at #40 in September 2022.

Hole-In-One For Dennis Garcia, WMC Contracting

Dennis Garcia of WMC Contracting sank a hole-in-one on Ida Grove’s hole #5 during the second round of play in the GOMACO Invitational’s Scramble Tournament. This was not the special hole-in-one prize hole, but every hole in the Scramble Tournament has a special team challenge. This hole’s challenge was “closest-to-the-pin in one shot,” which Dennis easily earned for his team.

Three Generations Of The Gunderson Family, Legends Concrete, Inc.

Three generations of the Gunderson family from Legends Concrete, Inc., won big at GOMACO Invitational #39. Wayne Gunderson was on the third place team in the Contractors’ Shoot-Out (left), Jim was on the Scramble Tournament champion team from the Holstein course (right), and Campbell was on the fourth place team in the Putting Tournament (center). This was Campbell’s first GOMACO Invitational.

First Time Attendees On Ida Grove Scramble Tournament Champion Team

Elroy Buren of Complete Concrete Inc., and Juan Velasquez of C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. had an exciting first Invitational experience. Not only were they both on the Ida Grove Scramble Tournament Champion team, they also had the opportunity to participate in the “Grand” Champion Shoot-Out, where their team came in second.
