Tuesday Morning Activities

GOMACO Invitational #34 kicked-off on Tuesday, September 15, at the Ida Grove Golf and Country Club. The main golfing events began in the afternoon, and those who arrived early could enjoy open golf in Ida Grove, practice their swing at the driving range, work on any last minute putting refinements for the Putting Tournament, or relax around the clubhouse with their friends in the industry.

A GOMACO GT-3600 curb and gutter machine with a Tier 4 engine was featured at the country club, and there was an equipment display set up outside GOMACO's Plant #2 facility featuring the latest in GOMACO technology.

The first golfing event on the schedule was the drawing for the Contractors' Shoot-Out teams at 1 p.m. Then at 1:15 p.m., 224 participants headed out to four greens on the Ida Grove course to compete in the preliminary round of the Putting Tournament. Each green had a winning team, and they advanced to the Putting Tournament Championship at 3:30 p.m. on the Ida Grove #9 green next to the clubhouse.

Following the Putting Tournament, the Contractors' Shoot-Out (a special event just for our customers) started at 4:30 p.m. The day rounded out with Brad Denton's Trick-Shot Show and the Pride of Iowa Steak Fry at 6:30 p.m., and an awards ceremony for the day's events. The new Godbersen's Classics Transportation Museum, which is across the street from GOMACO University, was open to guests also on Tuesday evening.
